I just received a telephone call from Chris at Motorola. He received the new duplexes yesterday and the one for the Corporation Yard was installed today. I turned off our old unit at my house and we tuned and tested the new unit for a while. Chris tell me the antennas are located at between the 60 foot and 70 foot level on the tower. I called and reached Bob, WA6OIW, Donna, WA6SCU and Art, WA6RPI. We all did a little tuning/testing and operating while Chris find tuned the system. We are now using the unit at the Corporation Yard as of this moment. The Fire Station 4 unit should be operational in a day or two. Then it may take up to a week to set up the switching panel. In the mean time we should all be using our rigs to test this system as much as possible. I am concerned with the coverage. We must have good coverage out as far as Lakewood Village and the Bay Lands areas.
