I first copied Andreas at the San Francisco Airport. Although the transmission was scratchy with occasional dropouts, we still talked until Andreas got home. I then talked with Fish all the way home until I reached 237 and Lawrence. The trip home was made on 101 and I was using a Kenwood D700A running 50 watts into a Larson gain antenna on my truck rack. After passing Palo Alto I dropped the power to 5 watts. Overall copy was pretty solid south of SFO and become pretty much rock solid by 92. After I reached Sunnyvale some Palo Alto hams checked in and they were solid copy. The new repeater seems to be working well; as least as well or maybe better than the SPECs repeater which I can usually reach between SFO and 92. 73 Barry K6IXF ----- End forwarded message ----- +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ SARES members mailing list: <sares-list@sunnyvaleares.org> For help with (un)subscription send e-mail to <majordomo@athm.net>Received on Fri Jul 11 20:56:28 2003
