October 1st approaches fast. We still need a volunteers to set up and staff a table at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety Annual Pancake Breakfast. The breakfast is held annually at Fire Station #2 (Training Center) Arques & Wolfe. The hours are 6:30 AM to 12:00 Noon. Check out: http://sunnyvale.ca.gov/Events/October+2005.htm I am setting up two overlapping shifts: 6:30- 9:30 Setup and 1st Shift 9:00 - Noon 2nd Shift and teardown Starting at 9:00 AM is the California QSO Party (CQP). CQP is the premier state QSO party held every year on the first weekend of October. Check http://www.cqp.org/ for more information on this "contest". I am hoping to work CQP SSB on 2m, 6m and try HF on Hamsticks Any band suggestions would be welcome. After talking to several people, I understand that HF bands will not really be open during the breakfast. Therefore, we are not planning to operate much on the HF bands.
