Many of you may have already discovered the free wireless Internet service provided by Metro-fi over the central part of Sunnyvale and expanding. You may have noticed Metro-fi's transponders sprouting up on Sunnyvale's street light poles. All it takes to access Metro-fi's service is a wireless-G network adapter (either a pc-card or a USB plug-in). I have been using a Linksys USB version (model WUSB54G, available at Best Buy for $40 after rebates) for about a week now with WOW! Speeds and no problems. Metro-Fi's web address is www.metrofi.com.
