1) Today I passed the written General Class license test. I appreciate Neil Enault (WA6OCP) and others donating their time to administer these tests. 2) Using the air adjustable capacitor Bob Pfeil (WA6OIW) so kindly gave me, and a hand wound coil, I was able to trans-match (tuner) a long wire antenna draped across my back yard. 3) This week the vanity license I applied for last Fall was granted. I am now K6PHL. Why the change? I have never been thrilled at being called a ZIT (KF6ZYT) :-). Now if you omit the vowel, or just squint you eyes, I can be called a PHIL :-). My next challenge is to stuff my dyslexic brain with dits and dahs- the fourth try should be a charm :-). Meet you all on the NET Cheers, Phil Stewart K6PHL +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ SARES members mailing list: <sares-list@sunnyvaleares.org> For help with (un)subscription send e-mail to <majordomo@athm.net>Received on Sun Jan 15 05:04:57 2006
