Here is a request from Larry Carr our District Emergency Coordinator. IF you notice anything in Sunnyvale ~ please alert me - SARES repeater or my pager 383-6663. THX Bob, KG6MOL -------- Original Message -------- Subject: [Scc-ec] Request for Heightened Alert Date: Mon, 27 Feb 2006 16:53:27 -0800 From: Larry Carr <lwcarr@alum.MIT.edu> To: sccec <scc-ec@svpal.org> I have informed the Santa Clara County Office of Emergency Services that we (ARES/RACES) can act as extra eyes and ears during the upcoming storm. Therefore, I request that all ARES/RACES hams in Santa Clara County place themselves on Alert Status for the duration of the upcoming storm. Be sure that your equipment is ready, and that you can respond if needed (note that there is no immediate need for such response). Report any downed trees, power lines, flooding, or other storm damage to me either by radio on the 146.115/R(+) PL 100.0 repeater, by telephone at 650-269-9638 (please, no calls 2300-0700), or by email to KE6AGJ@pacbell.net <mailto:KE6AGJ@pacbell.net>. I will only need your call sign, your city, and the type of damage. Do NOT GO LOOKING FOR DAMAGE- only report what you can see from your location. And remember to call 911 if the damage is dangerous.
