Hello,

this is e-mail is to introduce the FEMA training courses that are
available online. At this time first responders are not strictly
required to be certified by the end of the calendar year 2006 but
we have to demonstrate the intention to get all responders certified.

I have put links to the three courses on the Training Material
page on the web server:

	http://www.sunnyvaleares.org/training.html

If you click on the individual courses you will go straight to the
FEMA training site where you can download the course materials,
take the class online and take the course online. Upon successful
completion of the exam, FEMA will send you a certificate in the mail.

You are encouraged to check this out and try to take the exam after
reading through the course material. The more certificates we can
present the better.

The relevant courses are:

    * Incident Command System (ICS) 100 Training: Provides training on
and resources for personnel who require a basic understanding of
    the Incident Command System (ICS).

    * Incident Command System (ICS) 200 Training: Provides training on
and resources for personnel who are likely to assume a supervisory
position within the Incident Command System (ICS). The primary target
audiences are response personnel at the supervisory level.

    * Introduction to the National Incident Management System (NIMS)
(IS-700): Provides training on and resources for the National Incident
Management System (NIMS). NIMS provides a consistent nationwide
template to enable all government, private sector, and nongovernmental
organizations to work together during domestic incidents.
