[SARES] Volunteers NEEDED - Sept. 30 - Saturday

We are still looking for participants to sign-up for this exercise.  This afternoon, Larry Carr - District Emergency Coordinator, received a request from the exercise folks for 15 hams to assist.  Please consider assisting in this exercise.  IF you have already responded to the earlier request, there is no need to respond.

Annual Countywide CERT Exercise

> Sunnyvale Office of Emergency Services is hosting the countywide CERT exercise at Baylands Park on September 30, Saturday,  from 7:30 A.M. - 2:30 P.M.

> This an opportunity for SARES members to work and train with other HAMS and community emergency response teams within Santa Clara County. The Office of Emergency Services, police and fire personnel will be the instructors.  This will also be an opportunity for interested parties to refresh their skills. The focus of the training will be on cribbing, disaster medicine,  safety assessment and radio messaging. As the training will take up all the morning and most the afternoon the cities will provide lunch for the participants.
