[SARES] re: Insight Needed

THAT is what I thought, but need confirmation from those IN THE
KNOW!!!!!! There was a call sign on a radio check, but my portable
volume was turned up so high it almost melted my speaker mike. When I
asked if it was a hang glider at Ed Levin, they acknowledged affirmative
- that they were up on ? peak. I let them know that there was a county
wide exercise in Sunnyvale that had been using the frequency and we
would keep the channel clear for their use. They expressed thanks......

If they all have call signs that is OK, but if only one or two have call
signs, then the rest are not legal and this interference should first be
reported to the OO (amateur official observer) and then to the FCC.
