Bob, Ed Fong generously, previously published a twin lead J-pole, 'how to' article in August of 2005. Using this I built two of them. They work great! (our younger son currently uses one of the them in Littleton, Co). While there was great satisfaction in building these and seeing great results, as I think about the running around collecting materials and the time building/tuning these, if I need one now, I would simply go the 'the candy store' (HRO) and buy one of Ed's ready made PVC encased antennas for $20 (it would need to be removed from the PVC pipe to be roll-upable, but that seems straight forward). YMMV. The article is written by Ed Fong - WB6IQN. If you look carefully perhaps one can make their own J-Pole. bg +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ SARES members mailing list: For help with (un)subscription send e-mail to --------------------------------- Expecting?
