To all MACs and those who would like to be MACs:

A new e-mail list has been created specifically for Mutual Aid 
Communicators (MACs) in Santa Clara County. If you are currently a MAC 
or are interested in becoming a MAC, then you are encouraged to join 
this list. The purpose of this list is to provide an avenue for SCCo 
ARES/RACES to share information, such as training dates, drill 
information, and other items (literature or web links) relevant to the 
MAC program.

ECs and AECs: please forward this e-mail to the MACs and MAC candidates 
in your city.

Joining the list is a three-step process:

1. From your e-mail account, send an e-mail to 
scc-races-macs-subscribe@INTERNET. yahoogroups.com 
<mailto:scc-races-macs-subscribe@INTERNET. yahoogroups.com> The text in your email 
is not important ? for instance, you can simply say ?I am applying?.

2. Within 24 hours, you will get an e-mail asking you to confirm your 
request. This e-mail will ask for some basic information about you (the 
questions are below)

3. Reply to this request-for-confirmation e-mail and answer the 
questions. When your reply is received, you will be added to the list.

You do not have to be a Yahoo member to join this group. Simply send an 
e-mail from the e-mail account where you want MAC-related messages to be 
delivered.

Below is a sample of the email requesting confirmation that will be sent 
in step 2 above

Do not send the answers to the questions in step 1 - YahooGroups will 
ignore the information. Wait for the confirmation e-mail in step 2.
