Tuesday evening on our net the question was asked, "Why are the fire
station flags at half staff?". The answer is below.

Bob,

Starting the 15th it was National Police Week. It was started a few years back as a week to remember all
of the officers wo have lost their lives in the line of duty. The flags will be at half mast for the rest
of the week. There are some local ceremonies, and some national ones.

Thanks, John

John,
A few of the SARES members noticed the half-staff flags at the fire
stations. They were wondering why?
