#1 At our March quarterly meeting we were given a DPS overview / training on how to search for lost or missing endangered persons. Within the next week or so Lt. Gienger will be meeting with members of the DPS Command Staff to formalize the department procedure, which has a SARES component embedded calling for our activation. We will only be activated for incidents were SARES members will NOT be placed in circumstances involving any known criminal activity. In other words, a day-to-day environment. Once the DPS procedure is in place SARES will have a training exercise, perhaps involving a member or two from DPS. #2 Please try and attend the Field Day planning meetings at Raynor Park. The dates of the meetings are: Sunday, 5/20 - Sunday, 6/03 & Sunday, 6/10 - - all meetings start at 2:00 PM #3 Current plans for the June 27, quarterly meeting is to have roll-out & training on our long awaited and updated Emergency Procedure Manual. Please mark you calendar for attendance at this meeting. It will be held in the normal Public Safety Training Classroom starting at 7:30 PM #4 We know it is early but we are beginning to think about the SARES/SNAP Holiday Potluck, scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 19. It has been noticed the past couple of years that attendance has been dropping. Therefore, we wonder if there is enough interest to continue this social event. Please respond with a YES - continue the potluck // NO - discontinue the potluck.
