[SARES] Activation - Sunday, May 27

    The Department of Public Safety requested a SARES activation for an 
endangered missing male from the Lakewood Village area.  This was an 
older male with multiple medical problems.  We were contact about 6:45 
PM and had our first volunteer searching the area on a bike around 7:00 
PM.  SARES had a final commitment of 11 volunteers, 10 were in pairs, 
mobile in the search area and 1 was at the Incident Command Post.  SARES 
was released at 10:30 PM upon confirmation of the person located at a 
prior residence in San Jose.

    When the city public information officer prepared the press release 
to advise the media of the missing person, he included SARES.  The press 
release is attached.  The emphasis has been added.
