MAC Training: Field Operations
Saturday, August 4, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. to noon
at the Sheriff's Auditorium, 55 W. Younger

The next MAC training class in the series is this Saturday. The
instructor is John Amos, K6TVM.

The subject matter will include:
Why do we train for field operations?
       RACES and professionalism
       Safety in the field
       Stations and radios
       PPEs
       Paperwork in the field
       First Aid, CPR, and Triage
       Potential assignments, including
          Localized incidents
          Earthquakes
          Hurricanes
          Fires - wildland or structural
          Hazmat incidents
          Radiological
          Biological
       Safety in the field

Any one is welcome, but this will not be a primary class. The assumption
is that participants will have some training or experience with CERT
programs, drills, and real incidents and are prepared to operate as a
MAC radio communicator in the event of "The Big One". However, no one
will be turned away.

This is not an academic class - we welcome "war stories" from the
participants. Since we have a pretty wide breadth of experience among
us, we should manage to stay interesting without any trouble at all!

under 'training'.
