[SARES] Lakewood Village Holiday Parade

    Just got off the phone with Ursula, the parade is scheduled for 
Saturday Dec. 1.  Please not this on your calendar and let me know if 
you are willing to assist.
    For the newer members, this is a LOW stress event that we use for 
communications training.  We arrive at Lakewood School (750 Lakechime Dr 
@ Meadowlake Dr - Thomas Bros. Map 812-H-4) around 9:00 a.m.  We use 
modified ICS with N6HM - Howard is usually the Ops Chief.  We organize 
the parade participant location in the assembly area and let them know 
when it is time to start marching.  Our members walk along with the 
parade to provide any needed communications during the event.  At the 
end of the parade all are invited for refreshments (hot chocolate, hot 
cider & cookies) at Fairwood Park.  If you are so interested you can 
even get your picture taken with the guest of honor - Santa Claus.  This 
parade is one of the methods used to accept donated toys for 
distribution to less fortunate children.
