Hi Bob, et al., I propose that any SARES activation email have a special keyword in the email Subject line. e.g. *activation* or *alert*. The reason is that some email services (such as Yahoo) can forward emails (as text messages) to mobile devices based on a mail filter that is setup. That way members can get a text message very quickly after the activation email is sent out. The reason I propose asterisks (*) around the word "activation" is for only actual alerts, and not normal email discussion about activations. That way the mobile device does not get a whole bunch of text messages when when members discuss the subject of activations by email. e.g. the Yahoo mail filter would only forward emails to my mobile phone when the email subject line contains "*activation*", and not just " activation ". Of course, other characters besides asterisks could be used, such as hyphens (-), equal sign (=), etc., since asterisks could be used as wildcards on some systems/OS/services. Most folks have their cell phones nearby, but not always carry (or listen to) HTs or be at the phone they provided for the contact list.
