SARES via Andreas is working on a system where a text message will be sent to you e-mail address, text phone, or text pager. The access to activating this alerting system will naturally be controlled, to keep from being spamed. The message format will be something like: "SARES Activation - 10/32/2007 @ xx:xx hours - Monitor K6GL/R" When the system is ready we will request that if you want to be alerted in this manner you should provide the contact information. Another method we can use in the meantime is the K6GL/R. If we have a activation request I will come up on the repeater with a 3 second tone (the "0" button on radio number pad) and announce "This is a SARES Activation, please standby for roll-call & information".... bg Neal Enault wrote: > All, > > Dave makes some good points, and I can't help but conclude that the > logical response would be a fill-in-the-blanks script for those of us > who make phone tree calls.
