SARES will be participating in the statewide Golden Guardian
exercise on Wednesday morning, 11/14/2007. I am requesting as many as
possible start monitoring the K6GL repeater at 0800 hrs. Our initial
membership notification will be via the repeater - there will be a 3
second tone (0) followed by information. We will have a suffix roll
call like we have for our nets. If we are unable to obtain sufficient
members to cover our assigned locations we will activate, as needed via
the phone tree.

For the greater part the commitment will be for approximately 1
hour, some assignments (EOC & EVC) will probably be for longer periods.
I have no definite information about starting time, but it could be
anytime between 8:00 & 9:30 a.m. Please review your SARES Emergency
Procedure to make yourself familiar with the locations of the schools &
fire stations near the location you will be responding from, you can
advise on the roll call.

*When you arrive at your assigned location Please check-in with the
person in charge of the facility. Those assigned to school will check
in at the front office and advise you will be in the parking lot as part
of a statewide emergency preparedness exercise. You will be there for a
short period of time and will advise the school staff when you are
departing. If you are assigned to a fire station please locate near the
front ramp, without blocking the ramp. If you have something that will
identify you & your vehicle as emergency amateur radio resource, please
have it displayed. SARES does have some placards indicating emergency
communications.*
