Well it is over and I have had time to try and get the whirlwind feeling out of my head. Now that it is over it is time to figure out what worked good and all those places that we can improve. Therefore, I am requesting the following from those that participated and / or monitored the exercise. Those that were participants we would like; #1 name & call sign, #2 time activated, #3 list of assignments with arrival & departure (to next assignment) times, #4 time released and finally #5 your observation about the exercise. I will attempt to condense the observations an publish the information to the group. A couple of things we learned, when SARES is late in being activated we are behind a power curve. Our first notification was a phone call asking if we were en-route to the EOC, we should have been alerted some time before that. We had a resource net person in place to begin deploying members to 25 different location in the city. we were requested to the EOC, then figure out how to do the deployments - so much for a little pre-planning!!!!!! We should not have tried to handle NC without help. When we were able to get assistance, they took over NC and we went simplex to transmit logistic requests (7) to the Emergency Volunteer Center (EVC). Yes, we learned a lot that could be done in the future. WHAT are you thoughts??????? Thanks bg ~W6MOL~ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ SARES members mailing list: <sares-list@INTERNET. sunnyvaleares.org> For help with (un)subscription send e-mail to <majordomo@INTERNET. athm.net>Received on Thu Nov 15 2007 - 01:59:33 GMT
