Item #1 ** REMINDER ** Tomorrow evening we will be doing our first PACKET net for SARES. Suggest the following SARES Packet Check-in protocol: 1 ~ Packet check-ins will be every Tuesday evening before 7:45 p.m. 2 ~ Check-in will be on the SARES main packet station BBS at K6SNY-1 on a frequency of 144.910 3 ~ Check-in should be addressed to W6MOL, at K6SNY-1 4 ~ We will check the BBS and verbally acknowledge Packet Check-in on our local voice net portion prior to SVECS net. Item #2 The question was asked if SARES members would be registered weather spotters. The answer from NOAA is "YES", provided the paperwork is completed. There is a one page info sheet to be completed, which can be done during the training. bg E-mail message checked by Spyware Doctor (5.5.1.322) Database version: 5.10040e http://www.pctools.com/en/spyware-doctor/ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ SARES members mailing list: <sares-list@INTERNET. sunnyvaleares.org> For help with (un)subscription send e-mail to <majordomo@INTERNET. athm.net>Received on Mon Jun 16 2008 - 17:46:22 GMT
