SARES Members, Regardless if you are there all weekend or just drop by for a couple of hours, always remember that you are an ambassador for Amateur Radio. Give some thought as to what you might say to a visitor and the type of questions they may ask. Consider the hobby aspect, the service opportunities, continuing education, technology advancement, and your own experiences. If you get tongue-tied, or have a senior moment like I do, there will be plenty of support materials. A fold-out display describes the many facets of amateur radio. There will also be posters that define Field Day and SARES and one that gives exmples of hams helping in China, Oregon, and locally. Additionally, there will be many handouts which people may take with them. Hope to see you there.
